ATL Awarded ISO 9001:2008 for its Quality and Environmental Management Systems


Certification highlights commitment to providing high quality products and services

 

ATL Transformers, UK – 09 June 2011. ATL Transformers Ltd, design and manufacturer of power transformers, inductors, AC reactors, DC power supplies and specialist wound components to the Marine, Rail, Construction, Power Generation, Machine & Panel Building sectors, today announce that their management system at its Manufacturing site in Manchester UK has been certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 by the British Standards Institution (BSI), one of the world's leading certification bodies. The scope of certification includes the design, manufacture and supply of electrical transformers, inductors, AC reactors, DC power supplies, specialist wound components, products and services, and demonstrates the company's commitment to providing the highest quality solutions and customer service.

 

The ISO 9001:2008 standard promotes a process approach to quality management that focuses
on fully meeting customer requirements, measuring customer satisfaction and achieving continual improvement.

ISO 9001:2008 certification followed an assessment by BSI, requiring on-site audit and
examination of ATL
Transformers' documented procedures and operations, including product design and
development processes. The ATL
Transformers Management System will subsequently be monitored through
ATL
Transformers' own internal audit procedures and by periodic surveillance audits by the BSI certification body.
